Despite the fact that actress Parveen Babi passed away 17 years ago, her life continues to fascinate people. Babi began modelling in 1972 and made her cinematic debut in 1973 with the film Charitra, in which she starred alongside Salim Durrani. Despite the film's failure, Parveen was praised for her performance, and she went on to star in other blockbusters. Majboor, which she co-starred in with Amitabh Bachchan in 1974, was her first big hit. Today marks the actress's 68th birthday, and she has left a significant vacuum in the film business.
On the occasion of Parveen's birth anniversary, we revisit a time when Ranbir Kapoor proposed that his girlfriend, Alia Bhatt, would be ideal for the role of Parveen in a biopic. Alia was asked which star she'd want to play in a film during a 2017 event where both Ranbir and Alia appeared for a joint panel session. This occurred in the lead-up to the release of Sanju, Ranbir Kapoor's film of biopic of actor Sanjay Dutt.
"Since Ranbir has been the supporter of my career, I'll let him answer," At the Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year celebration, Alia stated. Ranbir said, "The way she's going, she can do her own biopic, but all jokes aside, Madhuri Dixit ?Meena Kumari, Madhubala, Waheeda Rahman, Zeenat Aman, Parveen Babi. I think Parveen Babi would be a good biopic for her to do, no?" Alia's response was, "Yeah, yeah, of course."
Parveen Babi was a 15-year veteran of the movie industry. Majboor, Deewaar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Namak Halal, Shaan, Kaalia, Mahaan, Do Aur Do Paanch, and Kala Patthar are some of her outstanding films.
